Writer Problems

What I wished I looked like while writing.
What I actually look like.

Disappointing, am I right.

So there is another Beautiful People for this month. Should I do William (he seems to be the favorite) or Walter, he is the Protagonist in a Post Apocalyptic novel. Just thought I would ask which one you guys would prefer. Both have gifs so its a win-win. I could do both.

  1. Oh my goodness, it's so truuue! Not only do I look unsociable and haggard while writing, I also give the impression of a mental hospital patient. I talk to myself and make the expression my characters are making and sometimes act out their motions to see if it feels awkward or natural. Let's just say I always write alone... But, uh, you're kind of gorgeous either way!

Oooh, that's a tough decision. I'm dying to learn more about William but this Walter fellow quite intrigues me as well! I do love me some post-apocalyptic stories. So...BOTH. :D

    1. I know right, I talk to myself as well. I rock out to music. :) I act out motions too, I thought I was the only one. I cant have anyone with me either, I cant focus unless I am alone. Thanks :D, but um it can get worse, I will stay in my pajamas, with un brushed hair, and up to five Pepsi cans around me. I also growl at any one who comes into my domain. :)

Yes, I think I will do both because it is only twenty questions, and that isn't too bad.

Not only do I make expressions while writing, I think I do it while reading too. >.< I try to suppress it when around others, buuuuut . . . LOL, Christine, a mental hospital patient! XD We can all just be crazy writers together, miming out the characters' actions and expressions, grimacing at the screen, talking to ourselves, etc.

    3. Yes, yes it happens with reading too :)
I love that we are all weird, that's why I post things like this, to make sure I'm not the only one.

    4. I can't focus with others around either! It has to be just me, otherwise I feel detached from the story.

You're definitely not alone, Skye. I love how crazy us writers are. It's pretty great! XD

  2. Also, that's not Link from the Legend of Zelda games on your calendar behind you, is it? Or am I just seeing things?

    2. OHMYGOODNESSGRACIOUS. YESSSH. I loooove the Zelda games! My brother and I have been obsessing over them since we were wee little things. I may have a major fictional crush on Link. *cough* It's kind of ridiculous. XD

    3. YES, A ZELDA FAN!! *Hugs*. Me too, my two older brothers played them. I always watched, and then at six I started playing for myself, I played Ocarina of Time first. Which will now always be my favorite, and I have been a huge fan every since. O my goodness, so do I. He is just perfect, in fact when people ask me what type of guys I like he is always the first one I mention. We have so much in common, :D

    4. *highfives* :D Whoa. That's kind of the exact same thing that happened to me. o.o I always watched my older brother play before I tried them myself, and OoT was our first (and still probably the most special to us). OoT, Twilight Princess, and The Wind Waker are my favorites. I can never decide between those three.

That's fantastic! Nintendo is pretty talented for making a guy that never says a single word so likeable.

    5. This is awesome, and wow. I thought I was the only one. Twilight Princess was great, I've beaten it and OoT, I am in the process of beating Wind Waker and Skyward Sword right now. I have a hard time picking too :)
Yes, for not saying a word, he sure has alot of fangirls.

  4. HAHAHAHA oh pen and paper and sunny days look so elegant, but seriously. What kind of person can deal with the glaring paper and the aching hand which is too slow to get all their thoughts out onto the page and the hair in their face? Laptops and beds and warm jumpers are definitely the way to go.

    1. I know the struggle is real, especially the writing struggle. I prefer staying indoors and hissing at sunlight. :)

  5. Nope, the life of a writer is not nearly so romanticized as that first picture would lead a non-writer to believe. XD Definitely a lot more like the second!

Ooh, yes, do both! A peek into both William and Walter would be great. :)

    1. Yup, it's madness really, spending time alone with your thoughts and characters.

      I shall :)

  6. Haha! Yeah, wouldn't it be nice to look so pleasant and happy while writing? It's more like, "What? You weren't supposed to that [insert character's name]! You just threw my whole plot out the window. What do I do now?"

When I'm blogging, I'm in my room. But when I actually write, I turn out the lights usually and just have the computer screen's light. I don't know why. . . I guess it just shuts out everything else and I can be immersed into the world of Oddball? *shrugs* But the music is always on. :)

    1. One can only wish I guess, but yes it's definitely not pretty.
I do that sometimes times at night, ambiance right, it is important while writing.
I didn't use to write to music, but 98% of the time I need music. :)
