Not Dead

I seem to be able to do anything lately, anything but write a post.

Write some paragraphs in any of my WIP's sure.

Write a book review, done.

Read any of the 38 ebooks or 55 paperbacks that are stacked around me, you bet.

Catch up on the 500 tv shows and anime's I am watching, why of course.

I even did some manual labor, cleaned a chicken coop, cleaned the basement, cleaned my room, organized my sock drawer you know the usual.

Everything but this. Just letting you guys know I'm alive and well. Besides a reoccurring existential crisis. I'm great.

  2. Ahhhh I relate, my dear. Except that I'm less productive and MOST of what I am doing has been playing with / nursing / changing my baby.

  4. Haha, nice gif. ;) And I totally understand that feeling! I love blogging, but sometimes, it feels like you have to drag the words for a post out of your drained brain. :p

We are glad to know you're alive! But hey, being productive is a good thing. Yes? Even if blogging isn't one of them. Because WRITING IN THE WIPS IS AWESOME AND IMPORTANT STUFF! *nods wisely despite profuse use of all caps* Ahem. We do miss you. But I understand about life being busy. That's kind of happening to me at the moment. . .

I was reading Sherlock Holmes the other day, and it mentioned his ear flapped traveling hat and all I could think was "IT'S AN EAR HAT!!" And there was Inspector Gregory and all I could picture was Cumberbatch saying, "Oh, is that what you're calling yourself then? Greg?" It's so amusing to read the books after having watched BBC Sherlock! Sorry. That was incredibly irrelevant.

    1. Omigoodness your comments always make me smile. It is important stuff, you have convinced me. You are very wise :D
I miss you guys too! Never seems to slow down does it?

I have done this while reading Sherlock! They intermix in my head or something, it's awesome. I loved that part, "His name is Greg." It is, and Sherlock is always relevant!

    2. I'm reading the Musgrove Rituals from the Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes right now. It opens with Watson talking about how Sherlock sometimes gets out his gun and shoots the wall. I had NO IDEA THAT HE ACTUALLY DOES THAT IN THE BOOKS?! I thought BBC made that up. This has been the best realization of my entire week.

And I am quite glad that Sherlock is always relevant.

    3. PS- I tagged you for a dragonish tag, thing.

    4. That is awesome, I thought is was something the BBC added too.It just makes me love it more!!

ALWAYS IT IS ALWAYS RELEVANT! <3

Thank you! I feel bad because, I don't think I have done a few that you tagged me in. I will get to them!

  6. Know the feeling! I've actually had to start making blogging a habit, because otherwise...yeah. :)
Keep at it, Skye! Maybe just 2 posts a month, a non-daunting goal you can start with.

  7. This post was good enough. Just jotting down whatever you're feeling in semi-incoherent sentences is enough.

  8. Yay, I'm glad you're not dead! :D Aww, I'm sorry, though! *huggles* Sometimes it's hard to blog, and that is TOTALLY understandable; plus I'm firmly of the belief that reading and especially WRITING and other useful stuff is much more important than blogging! Sometimes I don't get much done in life besides blogging and it would be much better the other way. I LOVE your blog but if you need to take a break or something, absolutely feel free! And yay for getting writing done! :) I'm sorry about your crises--that's the worst. :-/ I've been going through some stuff too, so I feel ya. Praying for you, darling! I hope you'll feel better, and if you ever need someone to listen, my inbox is always open! <3 *huggles*

    1. Nope not dead! Your so sweet! It is hard, I'm usually like that too. It has been kinda nice getting all my stuff done. Thanks, I'm going to try and get through this slump. I have already taken quite a break. Aw, I'm sorry that you can relate, life can suck sometimes. Thank you, you are in my prayers as well.

  9. Don't beat yourself up about it. All of us need to recharge our batteries sometimes, and it can be difficult if you're forcing yourself to write. What I do is just turn off the computer for a while, drink way too much hot chocolate and watch Jane the Virgin.
But you know, whatever works for you too :) Glad you're not dead!

  10. You're alive! Yay! :) But aww, I hope the slump doesn't stick around much longer. Take all the time you need to recharge. That's important. <3 Read, watch stuff, listen to music, soak up inspiration wherever you find it! Sometimes we just need to live life before we find words to write (or blog).

  11. Able to do anything but write a post? I FEEL that. I feel that so hard. And yet, even if I'm not being blog-productive or even writing-productive, it feels good to be otherwise productive. :) You have a chicken coop? That's pretty awesome! Good luck with your crisis; remember we're all behind you! :D <3
