The Prompt is...

 a quote that scares you

This was a hard one for me, books generally don't scare me. I don't know why, I've been creeped out but never scared. So I picked this quote from Sherlock that really unsettled me, because it's true and hit me really hard when I first heard it because it was something I had never thought about it.

It just made me think about the impact your life has on other people. Which can be a scary thought.
(Also I'm not and never have been suicidal)

  1. Wow. That quote was so deep. It makes me think of a thought that's been on my mind about death. (I'm not suicidal, either, btw.) It was a thought that came to me a while back about how I don't fear death, but I fear the effect it has on others. Such a deep and scary thought from that quote you picked, yet I like it.

  3. Oh man yes, is that a thought-provoking quote! I've often thought suicide is a selfish act. Because, as the quote says, it affects your loved ones, all the people you know. It's just...it's a horrible thing all around.

This quote is so powerful and important! Thank you for sharing with us!

  5. Suicide is so sad. :( That quote is very true and profound! Thank you for sharing, even if it is - in a way - kinda scary.

  6. This quote is definitely a thought-provoker! I love Sherlock, and some of the themes it handles, and the way they are handled, is very profound. Great post!
